NBCSN usually carries 2 matches on Saturday, 2 Sunday and 1 Monday. USA Network usually has a match Saturday and Sunday.

Next week there are 4 matches not available without the overflow channels.

Definitely need the overflow channels if you want all the matches. If you follow a non-giant club, overflow or streaming is a must. If you follow a giant, must matches are on NBCSN or USA, but hardly all.

Not the answer(s) I was hoping for. Perhaps I'll enjoy my free preview around Oct. 1, when all 10 matches all start at the same time and see how that works. Of course the trade off if the EPL exposure is limited is the inclusion of Bein. Fortunately, I have ample time for sustained analysis paralysis.

Thanks for the input, one and all.

If you get NBCSN your carrier may carry the Live Extra channels on TV as well. There are alternate channels for the Live Extra matches on ATT Uverse.

I am with uverse (pay for 300 channels, watch 24) now and desiring to "cut the cord". My old fogey, uh, head, got roku'd at father's day so I am streaming tv smitten and watching even less att than before. Alternate channels for EPL & BTN-Illini are the sticking points. I might be ok with missing a game or two of LFC since I'll gain bein and justify it as a net gain at a significantly lower cost. Hopefully, a well timed free preview will bring greater definition to the wonders of PS Vue streaming TV. Also, Olympic coverage conflicts with normal programming next weekend so things are a little off.

Meantime, Arsenal on Sunday will be an exciting beginning to the season.
More thanks for the inputs.

Mourinho and Zlatan start the season with a bang. Pogba had his medical. I'm calling Manchester United the favorites right now.

Bold. Great keeper, but unimpressed by their D. Pogba is very good, but not worth 110M euros. MU's in transition, I don't think they're quite there yet.

I wonder what the over/under is on how long until MANU fans are pissed because Mourinho has decided to park the bus.

Stones to City (finally). While I don't think he's as good as the consensus (and not worth the money), he's a good add for City. MU finally reeled in Pogba.

I'll probably just tune on NBC to watch whatever team is being broadcasted since my club isn't in EPL this season. Plus following my other clubs will make my time thin; too much soccer/sports for a week.

It'll be interesting how José Mourinho does this season at Man. U. as well as Manchester City with Pep Guardiola. The lights are on them and I believe they'll shine (the former more than the latter). Arsene Wenger has some pressure on him (last year in his contract): find a CB and a striker once the summer transfer window closes. If he doesn't renew, Arsenal under his tenure will be w/o an EPL title for more than a decade. I'm starting to like Jurgen Klopp's personality - seems like a guy you don't want to get mad and when he does it'll be painfully awkward. Not sure where LP will place since I haven't looked at their roster or any transfers coming in yet.

United and Tottenham gave up the fewest amount of goals last season. Problem was they couldn't score. I think Pogba, Zlatan, a more mature Martial, plus Mourinho's tactics will improve them enough. Plus they don't have to play Champions League games.

Aston Villa. When I was a pre-teen and teenager I supported Southampton.

Apparently all the clubs I support are in transitions of rebuilding mostly out of bad management of transfers and keeping mediocre talent. Some just plain suck like Chicago Fire (like AV, once a great club). At least the Cubs are doing well! :thumb: Up the Cubs!

Before Hauptman bought the club and systematically wrecked it. Great club, by US standards, definitely. Most US Open Cups (5, IIRC), several MLS titles, perennial contender.

Argentina doesn't reach the knockout rounds of the Olympics for the first time since the 60s. Honduras was very fun to watch. They might give Mexico and the US some trouble in world cup qualifying.

P.S. Sorry I usually just treat this as the general soccer forum.:D

I went to a US vs Honduras World Cup Qualifier at Soldier Field back in 2009. There were twice as many Honduras fans in the stadium as there we US fans. They scored the first goal of the match and the place went nuts. We won in the end, but it was definitely a cool experience.

For starters Mourinho is a defensive-minded coach. Man U will defend even if they have to park the bus (or two). #lamefootball

In addition to the additions of Zlatan (38 goals and 13 assists in Ligue One) and Pogba (you are probably correct - over-paid for him), Mkhitaryan is a key addition - 11 goals, 19 assists (most in the Bundesliga by 4!). Dude can flat out play and will create so many chances for Zlatan, Martial, and Rooney in addition to being a legit scoring threat. Mata and Pogba are really good, too.

I don't see anyone keeping up with Man U this season, but I'm not as high on Man City as most. But, what do I know, I think Liverpool could win the BPL and the Illini could win the BIG West if things fall right! Let a fan dream!!!

I know this has already been touched on somewhat but...

Any predictions on who finishes top 4 this season? Bottom 3? Do Burnley, Middlesbrough, and Hull City stay up for another season or do they all get relegated back down to the Football League Championship?
