As in, he was on the staff previously to becoming the OL coach, or that he was hired and is already on the staff even though the hire hasn't been announced yet?

I hope we’re not promoting another GA. We saw the steep drop off of D-line performance when we went from a veteran D-line coach who knows Lovie’s system to a brand new up and comer.

It took awhile for the D line to come around last year and I don’t think Lovie has any margin for error this season for a new guy to take his lumps.

Was on the staff previously for all of last season. Quality control or GA or similar capacity (can't keep up with all the new roles and titles they hand out these days).

But he was with the O-line already so there is some continuity, if nothing else (scraping the bottom of the barrel for silver linings at the moment)

Looks like a Rod Smith endorsement. I'll trust Rod, but still this feels like a huge letdown given the other names that got tossed out there.

That had more to do with youth and injuries than anything.

I think it’s all about the hair style. 😄. Well we’ll find out how this works out. Not a proven quantity but who knows until next fall.

Honestly. Now that basketball appears to be turning around, I think people care way less about football
