I thought it was a major misstep to not start Dain vs UCONN. Ty faded down the stretch whereas Dain was rising.I think the team went to another level when dain started playing more in big ten tourney and NCAA. I honestly thought it was small error not playing him more through out the year especially when we basically were never gonna be a plus defensive team. The guy can just score... Just don't dribble so much!
Butler and Storrs are playing, but I don't see ZZ Clark on the UCSB roster. Anyone know if he redshirted, or ...?He is playing really well so far.
Would be interesting to add lost commitments to the former Illini thread.
Fears, Zz Clark, Butler, and Storr come to mind.
Think about him or not, that was a massive loss. he's a great player and we didn't get any high-profile ball handler to sort of "replace" what he could've/would've been in '25It’s crazy how little I (we?) have thought about Jeremiah Fears over the last few months. In years past we would be down about it for a long time. He’s a great player and yet we seem to be just fine.
At UCLA?Butler and Storrs are playing, but I don't see ZZ Clark on the UCSB roster. Anyone know if he redshirted, or ...?
And if we took him in 24, I bet DGL would have left.Think about him or not, that was a massive loss. he's a great player and we didn't get any high-profile ball handler to sort of "replace" what he could've/would've been in '25
Yet. A year ago, no one had KJ or Will on their radars. That's next season's problem, and I'll bet Brad will find a solution.Think about him or not, that was a massive loss. he's a great player and we didn't get any high-profile ball handler to sort of "replace" what he could've/would've been in '25
Fears de-committed in June... portal window was far gone...And if we took him in 24, I bet DGL would have left.
Yea but DGL would have left when Fears committed hypothetically as a 24, not in a June when he decommitted.Fears de-committed in June... portal window was far gone...
Looks like Curbelo missed the second game of the season, can't find any reason why.
Brad has proven he can reload though. Fears doesn’t really make sense on this roster, imo, if he wanted serious minutes from the jump.Think about him or not, that was a massive loss. he's a great player and we didn't get any high-profile ball handler to sort of "replace" what he could've/would've been in '25
DGL would have red shirted the day the season startedAnd if we took him in 24, I bet DGL would have left.
What? Nico can dunk! I don’t believe it.Moretti with a 3 and a dunk off the bench for a very entertaining FAU team against UCF. Still a lot of time left in 1st half.
Let's face it...this team would be lucky to make the NITALL "FORMER ILLINI" TEAM:
C 8 PPG - Dainja
PF 13 PPG - Hansberry
SF 9 PPG - C. Hawkins
SG 13 PPG - Moretti
PG 16 PPG - J. Fears
* A. Curbelo
* S. Clark
* L. Goode
* S. Harris
* B. Lieb
LolLet's face it...this team would be lucky to make the NIT
CoHawk is the only one I feel sorry for.
There has to be a reason????Looks like Curbelo missed the second game of the season, can't find any reason why.
He played tonight. Only missed one game and announcers acted like it was an illness.There has to be a reason????
Had a good game too. 15 pts on 7-9 shooting (1-1 from 3), 5 reb, 6 assists, and only 2 turnovers.He played tonight. Only missed one game and announcers acted like it was an illness.
Nope. He’s still on the UCSB roster, he played 6 minutes in the first non-con game and 8 minutes in the second game.Butler and Storrs are playing, but I don't see ZZ Clark on the UCSB roster. Anyone know if he redshirted, or ...?
Yup!! He has even better hops then Renee Clemens, who as we all know dunked on Shaq.What? Nico can dunk! I don’t believe it.
That's impressive for a woman. Was Renee Rennie's sister?Yup!! He has even better hops then Renee Clemens, who as we all know dunked on Shaq.
Ghost on ghost crime.That's impressive for a woman. Was Renee Rennie's sister?
Good, really would like to see him have a productive, no drama season finally.Had a good game too. 15 pts on 7-9 shooting (1-1 from 3), 5 reb, 6 assists, and only 2 turnovers.
