What's your score prediction if we played our #2 ranked transfer team?
What's your score prediction if we played our #2 ranked transfer team?
Our current team would win by 20.https://www.cbssports.com/college-b...transfer-players-starring-for-other-programs/

No KJ or Tomi thenCH would have been worth every penny of the $2 mil to this team. Every penny.
It was more of a theoretical in a perfect world type of thing. More of a CH instead of BH thing. No KJ or Tomi then
What the H?More of a CH instead of BH thing.
I'd play for a bad team for 2 million $$$$$$The CoHawk question is getting asked outside of us ....

Should Coleman Hawkins Have Stayed At Illinois?
Coleman Hawkins transferred from Illinois in June to play for the Kansas State Wildcats. Safe to say it's been a rough start so far. Illinois made the Elite Eigwww.si.com
Kansas State is currently 7-11, have lost 9 of 10 and 6 straight, have 1 win against a high-major team, and very well may be the worst team in the B12.... you certainly got to wonder...

Amazing that less than two years ago, Jerome Tang was the hottest of hot commodities. Yeesh. Maybe he and Rodney Terry can team up to revive Chico State's once-proud program.I'd play for a bad team for 2 million $$$$$$
That's still a good, hard-nosed team, but I don't think the ceiling is as high as with what we have now.Indy/LVille/0440 have said we do not have KJ or Ivisic if $2M is spent on CH.

As much I love Coleman I'm not sure I make that trade![]()
If we lose tonight......you might rethink.
ColemanIt was more of a theoretical in a perfect world type of thing. More of a CH instead of BH thing.
IMO I think the writing was on the wall. Limited potential as NBA draftee. Good for him to get his payday.Isn’t the bigger question for Coleman whether he could have improved his NBA Draft stock by staying here another year rather than taking a larger one-year contract at K State?
It has been said that CH means no TI. Also, CH means no KJ. So are you telling me you likeIf we lose tonight......you might rethink.
He would have slid into the 5 and could have paired up with Morez nicely. You're telling me you like the 3 of MJ, TI and BH better than the 3 of CH, MJ, and TI?????

It's hilarious how the $2 mil becomes an issue when no one here really has to worry about that. Championships are expensive. If those who actually control the purse strings want to win on that level, they'll make it happen.Coleman

Coleman is better rebounder and passer. Ben is better 3 point shooter. JMO the difference is not worth $2M minus Ben NIL.
I liked Coleman but once he said he was done at Illinois no matter what (smart financial decision) then I stopped missing him.

I think he would have been great at the 4 with Ivisic at the 5. But if it meant no KJ, then no way. KJ is by far the most important player for us.If we lose tonight......you might rethink.

Not even close. That's still a good, hard-nosed team, but I don't think the ceiling is as high as with what we have now.
He is our most irreplaceable player, and it shows. CH could have easily slid over to the 5 and played the 4 with MJ. Would not have wanted to lose KJ, but would be very happy to have CH instead of BH.I think he would have been great at the 4 with Ivisic at the 5. But if it meant no KJ, then no way. Plus you're picking a game where we're w/o Ivisic. That's not really fair. But it wouldn't matter. There are very few players in college basketball we could trade KJ for and be as good as we are now. Maybe none. He fits perfectly as Boswell needs another creator to take pressure off of him.
