Former Illini in College Hoops

Epps has the green light to take whatever terrible shots he wants to take. Does Georgetown not have any other point guards on their roster? If this was BU, he would've sat Epps immediately after two bad shot attempts. 20 shot attempts in under 30 mins. 0/8 from three and 5/21 overall. Does Cooley not care to hold him accountable at all? They've had success with Supreme Cook in the lane and Massoud from 3 pt. range. Utilize your weapons and start playing team basketball

Watching ASU-OSU game. Adam Miller is 0-6 (0-4 from 3) at half. He’s perfect from line for 4 pts along with 3 rebs, 2 assists and a steal. Beavers up by 15 after Pope hit a 3-pointer from the logo at buzzer.

I’ve gotten two separate texts from two different friends today that made me laugh

“I hate Skyy Clark”
“Send RJ back to Illinois”

Lol
In two seasons, Clark has an AST/TO ratio of 1.0 (it is 1.0 both years, actually).

He is scoring 12.8 per game but on 37.8% shooting.

Is that kind of ball-hoggery not what you want in a PG?

Lol. Entertaining is one word for it! Someone like Clark and Epps would be really tough to work into this roster. They would never buy into what this team is about.

Also since my buddy made that comment about RJ he’s played pretty…. pretty good

Just a small tidbit. I’m sure if you gleaned over my previous posts that you’d see I’m an Illini fan in a Clemson grad family. My grandma got my cousin and I tickets to go see Clemson-Louisville on Tuesday and up until the game started, somehow forgot I’d get to watch Skyy playing. Well… the stat line may not look awful, but none of his shots even looked close, the misses were way off, he couldn’t get any dribble penetration and was a turnover machine. I believe he led Louisville in turnovers, and just awful team basketball.

To be fair, he did look a bit shaken up and he was pulled early in the 2nd half, but nonetheless he did not look good at all in person.

Time for our weekly Jayden Epps and Skyy Clark updates???

Kolek vs Epps right now looks identical to (or worse than, so far) Buie vs Epps last year

Kolek on pace for a 50 burger, meanwhile Epps 0 for 4 from the field

He’s now shooting 25% from the field today with 4 TOs and losing by 40 (and I’m guessing with no fans in the stadium).
