Guys we did the same thing last year in a lot of games. We weren't very dominate in many games. We had to scratch and claw to find a way to several games. It looks like it may be the same this year. Maybe we should be happy to get to 7-8 this year. It just feels the same as last year. A good team but not great.
We start with the ball this half. I'd really like to see an 8 minute drive ending with us getting in the endzone

Good teams have bad halves all the time. If you find a way to get out of here with a win against a 9 win team in the first road game then that is better than expected

The hype this team has received to this point has always worried me. There are no stars like Williams, Brown, Newton, Bryant, and Merriweather...just a bunch of solid, experienced yet somewhat undistinguished players who have had moments of success and as well as failures. Altmeyer is the only talented player but surrounded by only good, not great, teammates, much like so many good wannabe teams. This Illini team must take care of road games with the Dookies of the world without making GLBs (game losing blunders) that even Pop Warner players know better than to make....and yet they do. I will pull for them to win while I shake my head and wonder what they were thinking.
What I didn’t understand is why he came up looking right in an obvious blitz situation- when he’s been getting annihilated from the left all game. If he comes up looking left, the hot read was wide open for the first down.
Your nuts He spun around and haf no time to run ir get out of the pocket and had 6 guys running down hill. Coaches have to set him up for success. They didn't.
