This defense won't look good against good teams... Taking too many chances.

It is very very noticeable how much more we push the ball at all times. Obviously still a work in progress but seeing some good things.

The Good: Kipper, Mark Smith, Tejon
The Bad: Finke, Perimeter D, Transition D

Agreed. When we play the token trap up top, all it takes is one pass to beat it and they either have a wide-open 3 in the corner or the help defense covers that guy and he kicks it to the man under the bucket.

With this team, we either have to trap that up top hard or just play straight up man. We don't have the foot speed to recover, that or we don't realize we have to rotate quick enough or both.

EIU shooting 48%. Defense is indeed a concern at this early stage.

Alstork not very noticeable either. Has AJ played? Haven't heard his name nor seen his number.

EIU 11 for 11 at the free throw line in the first half to keep them in the game. Free advice: STOP FOULING and play solid defense instead. Thank you.
Aww Efrem, you got me by a minute!!

AJ in for a little bit, not much.

Alstork hasn't been asked to do much yet. Kipper and Smith have just taken the team on their shoulders, and Lucas is also doing well.

If they have a capable big man, just run to our basket and he will have free layups the whole game.

Thank you Dan for posting these streams in the other thread. Listening from Seattle, WA.

Sloppy. Too much dribbling.

As someone commented earlier, I'm not seeing the constant cuts to the basket for easy buckets.

Illini not starting well this second half. Maybe the kids are exhausted. Too many EIU players are open on defense
