Earlier I was watching Oklahoma at Kansas State, two thoughts came to me. First, was I love to have either of these coaches back. Second, I would love to send another Illinois coach to the Big 12.

It's come to this... help us Bubble Bruce, you're our only hope... lololol

Last year, I was one of the loudest drum bangers about being patient through all of the injuries...now, I would settle for the latter of your two options.

There's a legitimate argument there, I mean teams come out and play hard when they're having fun and believe in the system. Our system is counterproductive on both fronts. We don't get guys involved, take hard shots, work overly hard for bad shots, and lose a lot as a result. I'd come out flat a lot in those circumstances too.

Exactly but when you watch the last few years and then decide to trot out the same upperclassmen in the exact same roles a that didnt work before the results are not exactly going to change .

The moment TJL touched down he shouldve been giving the keys and all the upperclassmen outside of Malcolm are situational rotation players at best.Give the keys to the freshmen choose a style of play and commit.

Absolutely....look what Weber and Kstate did in Lawrence the other night
Illini under Groce very seldom play up on the road against even a decent team.
Not saying I want Bruce back, but he's a far better floor coach than Groce

I just don't get it

agree - if TJL had been given much more development time during the non-con... but alas.

Can we have the one from Kansas back instead?
Not disagreeing at all, but Bill $elf was a horrible game coach while he was here. The round of 8 game vs Arizona and the loss to the Sugar Mocs come to mind. But, I'd take him back in a heartbeat.

I would give my left reproductive organism in order to be able to say "Illinois" and "round of 8" in the same sentence.

Obviously lots of things wrong today, but we're still fighting. Everybody's engaged. Appreciate that.

Sure like the way the ball moves when TJL is in. I'll take the occasional freshman mistake. At least there's some energy.

Hill determined to go to basket.......need this all the time, back up plan should be the mid range game

Debating how good your coach is in and Elite 8 game seems like a very high class problem to have given our current circumstances.

lol. This statement is so obvious it makes me laugh you had to say it to some people on this board.

Yes, me too. Clearly something is going on, is it coaches or players or both. Is it this Board. I know, the Russians have hacked the Illini playbook. Putin strikes again!

Has anyone ever seen Groce "coaching" a player mid-game or just clapping?

Agree 100%. Too little too late today though. Hopefully he does it in future games.
