How do we create a team as good as Indiana by cobbling together a slew of unheralded transfer portal guys?

Bret has pulled off some good wins and eaked out some close games for us and turned our program around but Cignetti has turned Indiana into a juggernaut.

This is disappointing. It reminds me of the 1984 Rose Bowl game when UCLA beat us 45 - 9.

I think a lot of Illini fans felt this was as solid of a coaching staff that would at the very least show they belonged, but almost fifty years of fandom, it continues to feel like Groundhog Day whenever something big is at stake. Imposters once again.
TBF, something big was at stake in the Citrus Bowl, and we stepped up. Let’s not just erase that because of this pathetic performance.

It's the weak link, nothing Henry can do to overcome it
I do encourage you to wake up your bud, though LOL
We’re also getting smoked on both sides of the LOS. Yes, all things being equal those injuries would be tough to overcome. But let’s not pretend all things are equal. Their lines are playing way better and we could march out five Peanut Tillmans in the secondary and we’d lose this.

On the positive side, we are halfway to an appearance in the 6 - 6 teams nothing bowl.
