Hey guys, I think Lovie called for Mcglaughlin to intentionally not get a touchback on the first two kickoffs. And they ran one back, that question needs to be asked of him after the game. Seems like a stupid thing to do.

The first kickoff we tried to pin them down because they had a penalty. The second was kicked into a pretty strong wind, it wasn't intentional

Whitman better force Lovie’s hand on firing Nickerson and finding a good DB coach as well. I know people have said that this is Lovie’s D, but it was Zook’s D in 2008 and 2009 and Guenther forced his hand with getting a new OC and DC. This is embarrassing to watch.

I've been a strong supporter of Lovie since he got here, but there are just too many bad trends that aren't being improved upon. Assuming this is the case for the rest of this season, I'd say next season is do-or-die for the Lovie Smith era.

This is so frustrating, we're not playing that badly, but three total busts get punished to the max

Would it make a difference? The 2010/11 Illini defense had some legit NFL talent. How many of our current defensive players have that type of talent?

Would you have said they had NFL talent in 2009? Liuget and Martel Wilson, certainly. But not Mercilus, Tavon Wilson, etc. Who knows?

Lol 2nd and 5 and they do a QB keeper. Man what a play call. If this is what is supposed to impressive about this offense then we are in trouble.

Not sure I understand giving up on the run inside the 20
