We tried a rb screen in the first quarter, but timing looked terrible and Houser threw it into the ground. Never really do it and assume it's only something we practice a couple times in the spring
I’ve gotta give Houser and the other Illini kudos for hanging in there. Plenty of opportunities to fold the tent. Resilience has been a hallmark of this team. That comes from top down with the staff and the senior leaders.

I personally like that the refs are letting them play. Only 2 combined penalties (both false starts) for 10 yards between the two teams. Feels like ages since we have seen a relatively "clean" half of football (at least when looking at penalties).
After a mostly listless first half in which our Defense kept us in the game, the offense finally found a spark on that last drive. Let's use that to take over, assert our will, and pull away against an inferior Terps team in the second half. Use our passing game to open up some room for runs and keep them off balance.
