the thing is, like many games this year. Its all right there, theres no reason for it to go off the tracks. You have the ball, you're up 6, a score, really even just a field goal still keeps you in amazing shape.

But it was like that last drive too, and you immediately went to third and long and did that. I hesitate to use "mentally weak" because its a wildly overused term, describing dudes who are not weak, but like damn.

There's no reason to go off the trails as much as it does for this team this year and last year.

The key here is let him throw in first down. They will put 8 in the box running into the line won’t get it done.

I am beginning to think it is not the players who are mentally weak

Houser is a really good QB, spot-on mid-range game, likable guy, can run it on you if you’re sleeping, gets the ball out quick, I’d even say he’s above average. He doesn’t have elite level IQ & processing speed.

On another note we’re in danger of losing to MSU, I hope our defense steps up. We need them now more than ever

We need at minimum one more score to get out of East Lansing with a win. I don't feel comfortable putting this game solely in the hands of our defense, given their regression to poor tackling and soft coverage this half.

Crazy that the Illini scored on every possession prior to the INT. Need to start finishing out drives in the red zone (though a field goal would be huge right now).
