illini up by 3 at halftime with.....................

low point total from TSJ
Dain and Cohawk with plenty of pine time because of 2 fouls
Lieb with 4 very needed points
Epps with some great running bank shots
RJ is now playing very tentative .....need him to throw caution to the wind ....he needed to slam dunk that missed bunny early on
Sincere with a 3 pointer
Ty bringing the energy and got a hard worked for bucket

Looked like MM had 3 blocks that half and a couple of steals....he won't win DPOTY in the B$G but could be 1st team D player...

I bet BU is happy with our play with the number of minutes that Cohawk and Dain spent on the sidelines.....

Time to get TSJ going and sprint to a double digit lead here in the first 5-6 minutes..................

LETS GO ILLINI !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's amazing that TSJ is averaging approximately 18 a game....when it seems that he can be invisible for a whole half...

Definitely scores in bursts, but those bursts come more often than not

Hopefully Goode and Perrin can also play in a few weeks or less, then we are ultra-deep like we thought we'd be at the beginning of the season
I’m not sire why anyone expects to see Perin this year. From what I’ve heard he might be a serviceable role players in 3 years, maybe.

CH and RJ yet to score. TSJ with only 4. We need to keep our guys on the court (out of foul trouble) and get 2 of these 3 going.

How did Lieb work his way into playing time in the 1st half, I like it, but what changed from mop up to actual import playing time?

Lieb has been playing with and against some of the best players in the NCAA ever day he’s in practice, with some of the best coaching. He could have played first string at a D-II school, but he has been putting in the wok at Illinois, and you’re seeing the results tonight.

Lieb helped us weather the storm and avoid either Dain or Hawk coming in and getting their third foul. It wasn't pretty, but it was decent. It also helped that we had Ty guard Garcia down the stretch. Credit to Ty. Not a lot of freshmen have the strength and speed to guard someone as versatile as Garcia.
To add… Dawson is 4-5 inches taller than Ty.

Might not be a bad thing with DD, Coleman and TSJ getting limited 1st half minutes. Might be fresh down the stretch.

Mannnnn I'm so proud of Lieb and Rodgers! I hope Brad feels more comfort in getting them involved now. Especially Lieb. He is making a noticeable impact on the game defensively around the rim with his length. He and Ty are crashing the boards hard. Way to fight to keep us in it while the starters were in foul trouble.

Sencire needs to chill a little on offense. We have to get back into our system of offense and get the ball to Dain.

Dain needs to host a layup 101 for Sencire and Ty
