Looked to me like the defender had two hands on him. That’s a no-no.I would not have bailed out KJ with that call.
Jake’s feet just look so heavy on D. One good cross over and he’d be down.Jake Davis is a good player. I forget he is only a sophomore. If he is happy being a 7-8th man. He could be one of those “fan favorites” staying a few years here.
Make up call for all the drives he's been mugged on with no call?I would not have bailed out KJ with that call.
They read Illinoisloyalty too!Come out of the gates hard to start the 2nd half and put this thing to bed before the first TV time out

Yeah, he was fouled a few times a second ir two before the shot they should a called when the defender had two hands on him pushing kj.I would not have bailed out KJ with that call.
Zero TOs.for KJ (+plus)13 assists for teamKj also looks more deliberate in valuing the basketball. He has put himself in some tough spots on some drives, but I'll take aggressiveness towards the hoop.
Minnesota Isn't Getting Ahead ......or Minnesota Isn't Going Anywhere?Radical lunatic 3 chucking insanity is over. It’s fine for common sense old school attack the rim basketball.

Agree. He was questionable vs Rutgers but wasn’t on the availability report tonight.where's white? still battling the bug or something else behind the scenes? didn't brad say he practiced and stuff?
just curious, we're looking pretty good without him .
Just mentioned that to my wife. And he moved into KJ as he rose to shoot. Gotta call it like that...both were fouls.Looked to me like the defender had two hands on him. That’s a no-no.
In fairness, we're doing the same.B1G halftime show laughing about being proven right about maybe our offensive approach needing a change.
Maybe, but I'll believe it when it happens for more than a single gameUnderwood has shone tonight that he can learn and adapt. Love the play, cutting, and passing on offense. Going over the ball screens has once again has proven problematic for our guards, especially KJ and WR. However, much with which to be encouraged for a team depleted by flu and injury. Kudos to DGL for giving it a go and Tomi for a heroic performance so far.
Team needs to feel good about their play...and duplicate it in the second half.
Like this observation. Depth also gives Illini an advantage by making defenders chase them hard when we are not standing around watching the slow, high ball screens. We aren't elite shooters. Instead, we're elite passers. We have high-level offensive decision-makers at every position. Tomi is as good of a passer as any center in college basketball. KJ, when he isn't trying to do too much, can be the best passer in college basketball. Will has become a really solid facilitator. Keep cutting and rolling to the basket. There's no excuse for our offense not to look like this every game from here on out.

Did not see that but definitely believe it, haha.hamer tells the guys to leave odukale wide open and he makes his 3rd shot. brad instantly turns his back to him. haha
I don't want a bunch of 3s but I would love to see KJ hit one and get outta this funk. Who's ball to start the half?
