Jake Davis is a good player. I forget he is only a sophomore. If he is happy being a 7-8th man. He could be one of those “fan favorites” staying a few years here.
Jake’s feet just look so heavy on D. One good cross over and he’d be down.

Underwood has shone tonight that he can learn and adapt. Love the play, cutting, and passing on offense. Going over the ball screens has once again has proven problematic for our guards, especially KJ and WR. However, much with which to be encouraged for a team depleted by flu and injury. Kudos to DGL for giving it a go and Tomi for a heroic performance so far.

Team needs to feel good about their play...and duplicate it in the second half.

Radical lunatic 3 chucking insanity is over. It’s fine for common sense old school attack the rim basketball.

Agree. He was questionable vs Rutgers but wasn’t on the availability report tonight.

Too bad because he’s one of our best cutters and could thrive playing like this. Hope whatever it is, health or something else, gets sorted out.

We aren't elite shooters. Instead, we're elite passers. We have high-level offensive decision-makers at every position. Tomi is as good of a passer as any center in college basketball. KJ, when he isn't trying to do too much, can be the best passer in college basketball. Will has become a really solid facilitator. Keep cutting and rolling to the basket. There's no excuse for our offense not to look like this every game from here on out.

Very good half.. Offense was aggressive, had a flow, and we didn't settle for stupid 3's.

Defense was overall solid but I'd like to see us tighten up a bit more and be a little more disciplined (Morez gave up 2 and 1's-6 points right there off two plays).

We HAVE to settle in as a team that shoots around 12-18 3's a game. To Hell with 30 moving forward, no matter the matchup

Maybe, but I'll believe it when it happens for more than a single game

Like this observation. Depth also gives Illini an advantage by making defenders chase them hard when we are not standing around watching the slow, high ball screens.
