Between Cockburn, our FTs, the turnovers, and the amount of trust we place in Curbelo this team is loaded with issues. We are struggling to stay in the game against an unranked opponent. It’s unacceptable. If our best player wasn’t playing out of his mind right now we’d be getting killed. Miller is invisible. Kofi continues to be a major disappointment more often than not whenever he’s involved in the play. Just yuck. The Big 10 is gonna be a gauntlet too. Good luck with this kinda play.

I'm 5'6" but if I was 7'0" you'd better believe i wouldn't be shooting wobbly layups and missing them. Are the coaches not telling Kofi to just dunk over everyone?

Illini winning the foul battle, winning the turnover battle, getting beat on the boards by 2, but shooting 65% to Mizzou's 55%....and the difference is at the arc where we thought they might have and advantage and at the FF line as we all feared. Mizzou 10-10 on freebies

Curbelo's best game for sure! And I've been a critic.

REFS/OFFICIATING: As an assistant HS coach, I typically allow our home fans to use the ref excuse once every couple of years --- or every 50-60 games. I don't think this is one of those games. Totally fair and equitable so far.

Equitable, perhaps, but it REALLY disrupts the flow of the game

That's the second comment you've made like this. Illinois was at best a 3-3.5 favorite in this game. They are favored by 1 at KenPom, though the late start and fewer non-con games means KenPom is gonna be less solid this year. This was, is, and always will be a tough game. Illinois was never gonna blow them out in their home gym, and especially not with this kind of performance. Just win.
