Is there something about Lovie's defense that just leaves the middle wide open 7 yds deep all the time?

Ref's one sided calling made sure we lost this one. Key holding call for us - nothing for them all day. Every key penalty like that pass interference, first down run, etc. Every key call went their way. We were never supposed to win this. This is Illinois football. You'd think 20 years of losses would be dues enough. We're not allowed to win.

Alright, drive for a TD and go for 2 - have nothing to lose for it.

EDIT: I know this crew is crap, but none of this would have happened if it weren't for the horse collar, which was definitely a horse collar.

Someone besides Turner needs to step up this drive. It would be nice to see our 5th year Senior Hardee step up.

In all seriousness, can we get a formal apology from the Big Ten after this game? To blow that spot on the field and on replay is egregious.

Two holds on that td. Still a one possession game, d was on the field too long, can't blame them. How is this game closer than wmu? Is fleck that good, riley that bad or did the bye week really help? Still hope one possession game

We didn't really get beat. We stopped them on fourth down twice leading 16-10 only to have Nebraska get handed second chances by blown calls. The effect was not only to deliver the go-ahead TD but it also gassed our defense who should not have been on the field in the first place. There are blown calls in every game but some of them are absolute back-breakers, nearly impossible to overcome. Those are two of the worst I've ever seen. They gift wrapped this thing for the Huskers. An absolute disgrace.

Lovie's defense did well today but it is hard to overcome horrific officiating. The TOP is so lopsided this Quarter.
