We have 1 assist besides Andre. That’s with starting two seniors and a junior in the back court.

Our zone offense has 4 guys stationary on the 3 point line and absolutely no movement. Get somebody at the Ft line my god. Ridiculous. Georgi needs to sit. Play Hawkins

Bad half, absolutely, everyone has them. This is an EXCELLENT Team and BU is an outstanding coach. Try and enjoy a special season, been way more ups than downs, which is all that first half was. We'll get back in this.

How dare you interrupt this with logic and sunshine!!!

TF did have one of our few 3s
He’s 1-5. That’s nothing to be bragging about. He also has 1 rebound and 0 assists. He has to be better. I cannot remember a kid that was as good as he was as a sophomore become this as an upperclassmen.

Lol....it's all on Underwood and the refs. The players are without fault. Keep on keepin' on Loyalty.
Not having the slightest clue how to attack a zone is 100% coaching. We’ll see how we adjust after half but I’m not holding my breath.

So do you feel that Underwood has earned the benefit of the doubt? Not trying to be smart or argumentative. Do you feel our talent level is below Iowa, Wisconsin, Northwestern?

Maybe someone on here can explain to me what is this offense? Four guys stand flat footed around the arc while one guy tries to get position in the paint. WTF is that?

or
The stupid three guard weave up top where no one looks at the basket or drives just does some pregame warm up weave. WTF is that.

no screens, no penetration, turnovers, bad passes, poor shooting, another slow start.

Forvthe life of me I don’t know what offense we run. We don’t have great shooters to sit four guys flat footed just standing there behind the arc.

I expect a double digit loss unless the pull their heads out of the asses in the second half.

11 turnovers if we cut that in half 5-6 possessions added could be right there. NW has out worked us, they also won't shoot over 50% this half. We're down but not out and not in foul trouble.

Agree...I posted last week they were the 5th best team in the Big10 and got some LOL's and I understand why...5th is too high. They continue to turn the ball over way too much, especially with a guard oriented offense, they miss way too many free throws, and when Ayo has a pedestrian game, this team is average. Tonight, Trent has been bad, and Curbelo worse.

Yeah, feels like the individuals > sum of our parts. We got 3 pros (Curbelo, Ayo, Kofi), 3 other experienced reliable vets (Frazier, Giorgi, DMW), and a high upside freshman (Miller). The team should be better than what they've shown. Too many inexplicable stretches of bad play (Ohio, Mizzou, Rutgers, 1st half of NW, 20-0 run vs Purdue, down 19-4 vs Penn State).

First 3 minutes are crucial here. Gotta start chipping away now not at 10 minutes.

Push, no, yes

Wisconsin shoots it better and all their kids can post up. We might be more athletic, but we aren’t better basketball players.

I was saying almost the same thing last game and the rebuttal is well he plays wonderful defense. Yes he does play very good defense, but offensively he is nowhere what he was. Just can't figure it out.

I am wondering if BU really knows how to attack the NW zone. Gotta get it to the middle. Giorgi had 3 open options when they did and then traveled with two shooters standing unguarded. It is all simple if you are prepared and know where and when the ball should go and do it quickly. Makes the whole team confident and half the time results in a layup.

Can't imagine this game ending in the W column, but I won't sell Ayo Dosumnu or his brother Dosunmu short until the clock is under 5 and Illini still down 15. But they should have their fill of embarrassment for the season. This team would likely be down to Millikin playing at that first half level.

And I laughed at that 11 turnovers forced by NW....how about watched?

He’s a decent defender. But even then it’s mitigated because he’s just so little.

If that is the case then, why do we look completely outclassed by those teams much of the time?
