Also, I would really like to see this team, our coaching staff, do what Beard is doing. Teach some defense. That is the one gripe I have over BU tenor here. We don’t have any defensive diversity.

Maybe, just maybe, that will change one day. That is what will take us to the last game of the year. Defense.

I don't mind KJs play, but Boswell's too much of a vet to make his mistakes. Just a lack of chemistry.

Will Riley looks way over matched.

I was hoping to see a "team", but that would be silly to expect at this point.

So, yes a game like this is awesome to have when it doesn't count.

We have the pieces, and a good reason to trust the coach.

Young vs Veteran team difference. Gonna take some games to tighten it up.

if brad finishes in the top 4 of the conference this year, he will have to do his best coaching job yet at Illinois ..

But this team is trying to make WAY TO MANY fancy passes. Keep it simple.

In my humble opinion, this was expected. They are talented, need time to gel. They might look good going against each other in practice, but game time is a different animal.
Coach will get them ready, it’ll take some time.

And that still doesn’t change my statement. He looks shocked.

Didn’t say he is bad. He just is in shock. This game is much faster than Europe.

The post game thread is going to be very interesting…gonna be some juiced posts on both ends of the spectrum

We will be able to really score in bunches this year. That is great to see and very needed if defense doesn’t improve

Again, exhibition for a brand new team with a ton of young guys, but I'd be lying if I didn't say how disappointed I've been with the play of Rodgers, Boswell, and White. These are dudes that have played big games in big environments and they all 3 are out of control and not playing well at all.

I agree with you in part, but he is coming here with the reputation and expectation(by many) that he'll be a first round draft choice next year. It's only a practice game, so not taking too much out of it.

Edit: He's also not a HS kid. I believe he played pro ball last year.
