How can Morgan be that badly coached on a pick and role. Its 2 on 1 when he's defending that. When was the last time you saw Illinois big men hedge out on the ball handler?

If we don't drive off the high ball-screen -- or shot, or roll, or pop, or slip -- then what is the point of them?

What is this offense where the point uses a high ball screen, and as soon as he uses it, he immediately turns around and then passes it to to a big flashing from the opposite side 20 feet from the who then throws it right back.....it's a bunch of useless movement (if you can call it that)....driving me crazy.

Same Illini tonight that we've seen for the past 5 years. Contested jumpers, with no defense. We've seen this Illini team too many times. Yawn.

I know it's cool to hate on Jaylon Tate, but he's in the game because TJL picked up two fouls right out of the gate... Oh, and he's doing fine. He's a back up PG. Holding his own and helping the team.

We'll "put it together" at home vs. mediocre teams or on the road vs. bad teams just enough to keep the blind true believers pleased, and we might even have a night where a good team is off and we're pumped up and pull off the upset ... but it'll eventually go right back to never stringing it together, and that's simply not enough for this program. At least to me, it's painfully obvious that SOMETHING with our coaching is just off. I'm not an expert and I am not positive what, but who cares? I'm so sick of the look of John Groce's Illini basketball.

I agree, it's just unnecessary. He's not even hurting us right now.

I feel bad for Thorne, people based their expectations for him off what he did last year and he just hasn't been able to live up to it. I doubt he's having much fun this season.

I'd go small and athletic. Their bigs are just too skilled. Let me see LB, DJW, KN, MH, and TJL. Mix in JCL, TA, and AJ. We can't adjust and play big with, we need to go small and athletic and let them chase us around. Plus LB, KN, and MH are willing rebounders.
