Ok, what did the announcers do wrong now?

If we make layups and free throws, we'd be winning. Missed at least 4 shots right at the rim. I count Kofi with three and Feliz with one.

It's not the announcers, it's not the refs, it's not the coaches....it's our guys finishing strong. That's it.

At 7 ft, 280, can't be conscious about contact. He needs to be physical. He should be living off the free throw line against these guys. He goes up soft and more times than not his shots come up short.

I meant on the back down, being cautious not to give them a cheap charge call for the foul!

I remember so well when networks and announcers were drooling over the Illini when the likes of Frank Williams, Brian Cook and Dee Brown were wearing the orange and blue ... BTN and, to a lesser extent (I’m not a conspiracy theorist, I promise!), referees subconsciously favor teams and programs that make the conference look good or are perceived as well-rounded. We were that once, and we can be again, but we must earn it.

Refs are honestly just bad tonight, probably a slight bias toward UW, but we knew that going in. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that we come out hungry and inspired and hit the shots needed to win in SPITE of that!

DMW Has been brutal defensively tonight! These Wisconsin boys have been slicing thru him like chopped liver! I dont see the hustle from him either except with the ball on the ground he got the tie-up called on...

He's playing out of necessity.

Meanwhile mean-face BU hasn't even given Tev a chance to find his flow or role on this team all season, and he is just losing confidence by the minute!

A waisted gem by our staff... No trust there on either side! He is most certainly gone after this season and I dont blame him!!

This game is'nt being called evenly and it is really hurting Illinois. It's the whole difference in the scoring so far. Defense hasn't been bad at all. Damonte needs to be more of a contribute on offense. Drive and dish or something. Griffin or somebody else is needed. Georgi maybe but I feel like Frazier needs more openings.

Wisconsin, as usual, is patient, disciplined, exceptional passers, and play together as a team to get the good shot. Going to take an exceptional effort on our part in the second half to get the win.

I'm no basketball technician, but what is the theory behind the weave? It just looks like unnecessary dribbling that doesn't provide any advantage to the offense.

I think it’s designed to get players moving. Beyond that I don’t know.

We are not turning the ball over and AG needs t o play every second he can. He is clearly someone we need on the court. I hope he starts the second half. Kofi islearning and getting better. He seems to be shooting his FTs from his plams unlike earlier when he was making them . WE got a chance. Who gets the ball in the second half?

A wasted gem by our staff? Now, I'm not saying that he's not a talent because we just don't know. That said, TJ needs to blame TJ for the outcome. Two years, two 8 game suspensions to start the season. I'd LOVE for him to turn it around, but I can't blame the staff if he doesn't.

The suspensions are certainly faulty on his part and shine a light to his lack of effort and may indicate character issues of the court (potentially but not necessarily)...

But he still needs to find his role and niche for this team because we all know.he could be a very dynamic player if his confidence was able to climb out of the garbage pit!

Wisconsin has athletes but they are just disciplined. People said that with Frank the tank and dekker too. If they dont have athletes then why cant Ayo just blow thier doors off. you dont make t he Final Four or Elite eight like they have without recruiting athletes.

Tev’s defense has been atrocious. That’s why he isn’t playing. You guys calling for Tev after he has been suspended twice in 2 yrs , I just don’t get. Keep giving your kid 3rd , 4th & 5th chances! Put him right in when he hasn’t earned anything! Reward bad behavior and sub standard practicing because he has more potential and athleticism!

If it's me, I start pressuring full court. They're big guys are getting way too good of looks and positioning at the basket. Speed the game up and make them handle the ball.

They're getting layups (and making them) and open jumpers by their guards at the elbow(and make them).

Well , GB and whoever else aren't showing on the ball screen and the defender can't always get over. Those are open 16 footers. You can't expect the guard to get thru all the time. Defense was very good but Wisc, getting way too many good looks late. Maybe, because of fouls building up.
