Our problem is that we neither have consistently dangerous catch and shoot 3 pt shooters nor guards that can consistently create a shot and finish in the lane. That really limits our upside I think and is the reason we probably won't win many on the road. We can win this one though and I think we make a few more threes this half and close this one out.

DMW Has been brutal defensively tonight! These Wisconsin boys have been slicing thru him like chopped liver! I dont see the hustle from him either except with the ball on the ground he got the tie-up called on...
He's playing out of necessity.
Meanwhile mean-face BU hasnt even given Tev a chance to find his flow or role on this team and he is just losing confidence by the minute! A waisted gem by our staff. No trust there on either side! He is most certainly gone after this season and I dont blame him!!
You're right, DMW has been a drive-thru tonight. But, he's our best wing defender, hustles his tail off, and has a "nose" for the ball. Have you watched a game all year? Tev hurt himself and I agree, he gone.
Offensive rebounding is keeping us in this game by our fingernails. Wisconsin is getting lots of ISO backdown points that we seem unable to find or convert. Hope AG gets a lot more burn this half.

Normally I would agree, but Wisconis doesn't turn the ball over. You break the press and it could lead to an easy lay up or a kick out for a 3. Kind of pick your poison when they're shooting like this.
I agree that Tavian Jones needs some PT... We need his athleticism! It's a long season! Get the man involved. He's paid his debt for whatever mistakes he's made or bad choices. Now do your job and coach this talented 4 start recruit into the player Illinois needs to help this talented team get over the top this season and to the tournament.! If he's not playing defense, giving the effort, what do you want the coaches to do? When he does get into the game, he picks up a foul or is out of position one minute in. The time to "coach him up" was during the 8 games vs the cupcakes that he missed due to suspension. You see him potentially scoring 10 points, most others see him scoring 10, but giving up 16. To have Hamlin coming in before him...his practices must be rough. Real rough.
