Hawkins is playing exactly the kind of game he needs to. Making smart plays, making effort plays, and being locked in with no lazy or overconfident mistakes. I really don't think it's unreasonable for him to keep having this kind of an impact if he keeps playing hard and smart.

Lock down defense, a lot of free throws and a 3 by Plummer.

Hawkins is so much better, can't teach being 6-10 with good feet/coordination.

Last year Baylor had Meyer who was the 6-8 player who would create mismatches at the Wing. Duke had Dunleavy. Hawkins can be that type of player. Think in year 3 or 4 Hawkins has NBA potential with better shooting and strength.

Don't see how CoHawk stays on the bench much when the games get more competitive. Same for Grandison. We are deeper this year. Loved Georgi, but he is no CoHawk.

For sure...just playing the game without showboating and no blunders. He may be a throwback doing all that....but his kind of throwback beats the modern "Look at me" game by a mile. Just keep doing it Cohawk!!

His game also seems very complementary to Kofi's. So he's not just replacing offensive output but adding an additional weapon.
