Then again, what would you expect from someone who played for Digger Phelps? Another classless blowhard. Ellis can take Digger's ridiculous sharpie and insert it where he usually talks out of.

I'm not worried about what he said. I'm ecstatic to have Underwood, but those comments are completely unprofessional. I don't like the negative national conversation (even if that is the only place it's happened. It's still on ESPN and other people watching to see the coach introduced won't know the personal connection).

Oh it was totally unprofessional. I understand he is supporting his childhood buddy but no reason to deride Illinois. Oh well, it is not like he is someone people take too seriously.

Broadcaster just said "Illinois is the only BIG franchise in the state of Illinois"

Hmmmm must not have been watching hoops very assiduously. Not that the other one has been in the press lately.
