Gone cold. Hill and Finke have had some wide open looks. CMU does not play defense. If you hit open shots you will blow them out.

Hill with a HUGE block on Keene but then they make the heart breaking three...but then TA hits his 5th three of the half...that was quite a rollercoaster

answer a question for those of us who are just listening, are all of these 3's that CMU is making good looks? or are they just chucking and getting lucky?

Have to say, not a banner performance but it's hard to guard a team that chuck's 3's like that. Would like to see when the last time was that an Illini team scored 46 in the first half! :eek:

We really could use Finke to get out of his funk. His lack of offense seems to leaking over to the defensive end. He has never been great on defense but he has been abysmal lately.

Frustrating to get such a big lead and then let an offensively inept lineup throw it away. Thank goodness for Tracy today!

I'm fully expecting CMU to take the lead at some point in the 2nd half. Still think we'll win but it won't be easy.

If you offered me a 10 point lead at the beginning of the game I would be thrilled. Not happy with how it happened though. Illini in good shape though, up 10 without Hill scoring. TA what a half!

If they come out the first 5 minutes like they did against N. Kentucky, it won't even be a game. Start the half like the IUPUI game and we'll be sweating out yet another one. And they have a pint-sized Keon Johnson-type.

We're beating hte spread at the half. I'll take it. Would have been nice to keep the 19 point lead, but CMU pretty much had to get hot at some point given how htey play (barrage of 3 point attempts with plus shooters). Gotta cool them down again

I would say we have defended the pretty well, one guy hit three in a row all from the same spot, groce called a TO, and he hasn't hit one since. I think our defense has been better than past games though, we have blocked them multiple times on drives so far so I haven't felt worried at all when they put the ball on the floor. If we could key in on their shooters a little better that would be nice, but we have had a hand up on pretty much every made three they have made save maybe 1-2

2nd half of most games seems to be our strongest... lets hope we increase this lead and get some sub time in the last 5.
