You can if you re-establish position by getting both feet in bounds. That's why Shannon was taking those baby steps before he touched the ball.
I believe you just have to establish yourself back in bounds before touching the ball. He made sure he did that.

Unlike Forrest Gump, he is a smart man.
That's only true in football (unless you were forced out and immediately reestablish yourself). In basketball you just have to get your feet inbounds before touching the ball.

I could get used to these fast starts after going through so many slow starts over the last 2-3 seasons.......i gotta think the beloved are doing all they can to rise in the AP rankings before the B$G season begins in earnest.......
If I'm an NBA exec. I'm seriously thinking about a top 10 pick being used on TSJ as he will help out big time on both ends of the court.......

There's next to no chance he's a top 10 pick unless he absolutely goes off this season and especially once we reach tournament time. At this point, I could see him maybe being a pick in the 20s in the 1st round.
There will be plenty of better players, both internationally and with the G League Ignite that will get taken ahead of him.
So at this rate we can expect Domask as a no-show in the round of 64 in March.

I don't think TSJ will be a lottery pick simply because of his age, but whatever team is able to get him (let's say between #20-30) is going to be getting an absolute steal. He has the makings of the classic "Not drafted b/c of his age, and every team kicks themselves for that halfway into the season."
He seems to be the type of player that would fit what they look for in the draft.
