For all the talk about our front court strength, Keaton being this good this early will mean the backcourt can really give a boost if needed at any time. This team looks pretty dang complete with the right pieces even with fill ins

And with two pretty talented backcourt players on the bench in sweats!!!!

Listening to the Illini radio broadcast. It is a pleasure to listen to Barnhart and others. They do a very good job. The Illini are operating on all cylinders early in the season.

Hummer struggling tonight but not to the teams detriment. Taking good shots without forcing up deep ones early in the shot clock. Just not hitting today. I really like this years version of him so far.

One would think this team can be very versatile on offense. Lots of size and could score inside if the 3’s don’t fall. Last year we got very 3 jackey at times and would forget about other ways to score.

Four guys out and one guy with limited run and plenty of rust. Doesn’t matter who you’re playing… impressive to dominate down 4.5 guys.

Obviously the level of competition isn't there in these first two games, but our passing seems far above last year....you might even say elite

I legitimately think this FGCU team is going to get a decent amount of wins this year. They play fast, aggressive, and have some decent shooters, and also attack the boards. Based on how they're playing they're much better than we're making them look right now in my opinion. This is just obliteration from an elite team playing an A+ game. We're good, really good.

I'll keep saying it but Big Z has been really good today. He's going to be very valuable for us this year. When he's on defensively, he completely changes the game. He's looked like Clingan out there tonight.

Does Kylan have a triple double in his future tonight? Leading the team in rebounding, assists and scoring at the moment and their is a lot of time left in the first half! they don't happen very often and I would love to see him get it!

Big Z might get a triple double with points, rebounds and blocks tonight.

This is the first time that I've seen Stojakovic play, so I'm hoping that him struggling to get a decent shot off versus this team can be attributed to rust.

I agree; it seems very likely. But we were abysmal last year. Shot selection this year has been so much better with much better ball movement. I would like to see Jake and BH knock down the wide, wide open ones tho.
