Offensive Rebounds. One of JCL shots almost bounced all the way out of bounds. He was already headed down court. At least have the shooter follow their shot.

He was in briefly earlier.

He looked a little hobbled and gave up an easy transition layup to Woodbury. Groce called timeout immediately after. I don't think Finke has been in since that timeout. I'm not sure he's played more than 3 minutes.

Why in the world give the ball up to tate 25 ft from the basket with 2 seconds on the shot clock? Malcolm has done that multiple times the past few games. You'd have a better chance shooting a skyhook from that distance than tate burying a 3 pointer

And with that, Finke ole's on an up and under... Not sure it's related to the knee but it looked bad.

What has killed me over and over again this season is the fact that our opponents often play not-great basketball, but we just play toiletball.

We really have to score in transition. Once we settle into the halfcourt, we so rarely get a good shot.

I think I'd almost rather take the 30 second violation then have Tate brick a 3 and them get a run-out against our unset defense.

A few observations:

-Groce is too soft on his players.
-Nunn will never go to the NBA because he is afraid to get foul - nothing but three point shots and tear drops
-Illini's offense is all about one individual playing hero ball and launching threes while Iowa players are always moving looking to get open for the best shot.

If I'm Fran and I'm going to tell my team to feed Woodbury and feed him well. We have nothing to counter him.
