DJ Williams

Like what I see out of DJ, still pretty raw. But has the height, length, athleticism to compete in the BigTen in the future.

How many 3's before JCL breaks freshmen record?

Ps, really happy to see djw get some tick
To me, this season's importance at this point can be boiled down to boot camp for the freshman. Play them, and play them hard so they get the feel of the game. Nothing else productive can come of this season.

DJW been doing some nice stuff on both ends today. Keep it up!

Anyone that is willing to attempt to rebound and play defense should see the floor. Those are both in short supply.

I hope I'm wrong but I really don't see how next years team is going to be an NCAA tournament team. This is atrocious defense, and don't see how offense improves much unless Tracy can make a huge difference with dribble drive and black can make a huge difference on rebounding.

AJ hasn't had a whole lot of PT this year. The game feels fast to freshman even under the best of circumstances, and Iowa likes to play faster than normal.

Good point, and generally I agree. Just seems to me that looking back to the start of the season that DJW is slowly showing signs of progress while AJ is slowly regressing.

Fortunately, JCL and and Finke look like safe bets.

Black will make a huge difference as long as he is healthy... We need a productive pg

If I interpret this .pdf correctly then he's passed up Richard Keene in this game. Next on this list is Jamar Smith (then DJ Richardson, then Corey Bradford).

Tracy can help with the dribble drive and more importantly, defense. Unfortunately, Black hasn't shown an ability to stay out of foul trouble, he is not an above the rim player and you really need more than one guy to rebound. I still see our bigs as a MAJOR problem next year. It would be helpful if DJW could consistently play like his is today and if Finke could be better on defense and more aggressive on the glass.

Tracy does penetrate better than anyone we have hopefully he will have improved on the penetrate and dish. With our rebounding I have huge concerns. I don't see Finke improving that much and Mav just doesn't have the athleticism.
