This Illini team, the way they play and the joy they exude, is beautiful and honorable enough to earn redemption for a decade and a half of overflowing humiliation for U of I athletics.

How do you watch this team play and not fill completely to the brim with pride.

Hope that mindset and confidence becomes permanent. Iowa sure has great shooters but their lack of defense is the difference..plus willingness to get into the paint and fight for the bloody rebounds. Illini have 4 turnovers which is huge....and could be a catalyst for raising their level of play to unbeatable. Free throws will likely always be the Achilles Heel.

I’m amazed at how good Iowa is and how much better we are now than last March when we beat them in the SFC. Just Amazing.

That foul on the Miller layup attempt was unquestionable....and yet they whine. Actually hit him pretty hard and is called by every ref in the country correctly as a foul. Whining about it will get a negative result eventually.

Kofi with 18 points and 4 rebounds. Ayo kind of quite 6 points and 6 assists. If Miller or Grandison can hit a few 3's we should be in good shape.

The joy they exude. Right on brother. That’s the best part for me.

the big difference to me is depth and shooting.....depth gives us a longer defensive intensity and shooting get us points.

The addition of Curbelo and Grandison has been huge. Hawk and Miller are also excellent frosh.

Brad has these Illini playing at a blistering pace, playing excellent team defense, making great decisions with the ball, and running Iowa ragged. If we can make a few threes, and Iowa starts missing more, we can run away with this game.

I was at the game last night and told my friend how much I could see the joy and excitement in their faces. I think they were elated to be playing in front of fans and hearing us scream for them. It was great to see. They are living this up and their play on the court is reflecting that. I love this team!!!

And we're not making them. Grandison has taken only one shot. Curbelo launched one and shouldn't have.
