Coleman Hawkins is legit. 6’10 is out there dribbling around like KD. Not say he is KD but the best big man with handles I’ve seen in College in a LONG TIME.

We can change the dynamic of this forum this year. How many seasons have to go by until we realize that these guys are giving all they have every game. If a player or the unit has a bad game, that's what it is, no one here is on the court playing at this level and if we accepted the fact that these guys are not only playing as hard as they can every game for the University and even more so for their personal advancement then as fans we should understand that they're leaving it all out there and just be supportive. Any issues will be fixed in-house by the professionals. Win or Lose, Ride or Die, Go Illini.

Having 4 players out would be tough for any team. Would've liked to finish the first half better, but we're up 13 and limited Jackson State to 17 points. I'm content, but we really need to start the 2nd half strong.

What's kind of aggravating is even though we've made more free-throws than Jackson State they still have a better percentage. Jackson State 2-3 on FT's and Illini are 8-14.

Start the 2nd half the way we started the first. Impenetrable strong defense and get easy baskets.

no flow to our game ....need to run when we get the defensive rebound ...pick up the pace......

Hard to get a flow when your two starting guards aren't playing. In fact, it's hard to win a game w/o your two starting guards. There's a huge drop off after Andre and Trent. Those two being out is much more significant than Kofi being out.

With Kofi, Payne, BBV, and Hawk, if we make it to the championship game again, Sean May 2.0 won't be our undoing. Nice little piece of mind.
