Horrible first half considering the size advantage we have down low and the fact Ayala isn't playing tonight. Kofi and Miller combined for 25 of our 34 on 9-13 shooting (4-4 on FT). 9 points on 3-18 shooting (3-4 on FT) for everyone else.

So, when does our break start?

Maryland hitting threes and playing good D on the road. No breaks in the B1G this year....gotta earn all the Ws with strong effort and focused execution....and hope there are no lids on the hoop.
Said last game too....we play passive and uninterested in the first half of games. Gives the other team confidence and makes for a dog fight against competent teams.

Poor strategy to end the half when you have a foul to give prior to MD shooting. Where were coaches on this.

My first half over-reaction:

The good:
* Kofi
* Miller
* DaMonte

The bad:
* Ayo being overplayed to his right hand. Seems unable to go left.
* Curbelo looks like a turnover machine again
* Getting very little from Trent, Giorgi, Hawkins and Grandison

I don’t think we really played poorly at all in that half. Couple of travel/carry TO’s that hurt. Not finishing at the rim (other than Kofi). MD is player really well. Good news Miller seems back, bad news Trent could be really hurt.

Now we both have our starters NG PG out. Should be more even :p. But seriously Curbelo needs to get out of whatever funk he’s in. He isn’t getting those open passes like usual

Ayo can't go 2 for 11 in the 2nd half like he did in the first half.

Outrebounding them 26 to 16 and only up 2. The are taking away the drives to the basket on the right side of the lane.
It's almost as if they've scouted us.

Ayo needs to develop that left hand. Could become his Achilles heel in the pros.
