I’m not advocating starting Art but Peters has only showed a few flashes in his time here.

I don't think he'd improve in this situation is my point. His issue is he doesn't trust his arm and double pumps or goes to his second read. That isn't something you get better at trying to make plays under pressure with receivers you aren't familiar with. He is the future, don't ruin him when you can build him. BP is better for now and Art's problems aren't from a lack of live snaps.

Peters is no world beater, but at least at this point I think he has a higher floor and ceiling. Biggest problem I see with either QB is that Illini are not likely going to be very successful with Washington and Navarro in the top four for targets in games. Not that they’re terrible, but they just can’t get separation consistently. Keep hoping to see more of Hightower and/or Armstrong, but guess they’re not ready.
