Really want a decisive beat-down here, for the team, the fans, and for those of us in Metro DC to hold over the heads of the couch-burning Terps contingent here.
Keep warm, those who attend the game. Saw the temp stats and wind chill and recalled many such frigid January early mornings winding my way through all available campus buildings between Peabody Drive and the engineering campus to prevent frostbite.

Being from PA, as a freshman in winter of 1977 experiencing my first Illinois plains winter, we had a school closed day becasue of the frigid cold. That week I told my dad I was coming home. He laughed and said, "It's just as cold in Pittsburgh". Of course, that day, we pulled our cash and drove to buy a keg.
Will be interesting to see the turn out. Roads should be fine but it is bitter cold here and the winds are expected to pick up. Showing -8 right now. Has only raised 2 degrees since 7:30 this AM. Those going need to be prepared for a nasty parking lot walk.

Gonna be curious to see the turnout for this one as well. I know the game was a sellout but it wouldn't surprise me if plenty of non-Champaign area locals decided to stay home because of the cold.
They are still available. Good way to stay warm and hide from the boss.
With players hopefully feeling better from the flu, I think we come out with alot of energy and play great on both ends of the floor. I smell a beat down of the Twerps. Go Illini !!!blackdog

If only that had been an option! Of course, upon emerging from them, the moisture soaking me would have frozen instantly and I would have succumbed quickly to hypothermia. Which, come to think of it, might have been preferable to an 8 a.m. physics lecture.Iām calling a DGL breakout game today. Something like 8 points on 3-5 shooting, solid defense in 12-15 minutes.
