Just getting this out of the way early; maybe save us a few posts later.

The announcers are impossible to listen to. They act like Maryland is going to win the Natty. No respect for the Illini. They can't even pronounce half our names. If the Illini win by 20 or more, the refs were actually pretty fair for a change. If the Illini lose or win by less than 20, the refs were awful again and either are getting paid off by Maryland or were told in advance by the B1G and/or "Vegas" to screw us. We're the only team that never gets home cooking.

I’m still digging out of a foot of snow and with -6 on the thermometer here at my house, I decided not to make the couple hours drive. Hope the locals can cheer loud enough for me.

Really liked Robert's latest article "Like Old Times".

Perhaps we're finally returning to a time when no one comes into Champaign and leaves with a "W".......and all in the world will be right again. The Terps really have no business winning at our place. Let's go 18-1 or 17-2 at home this season.

I could see them coming out flat against an opponent that's struggled as much as Maryland. Despite that, I think they're too good to let them take them down to the wire. Hopefully we get some tick for the bench.

+ BU can't diagram in-bounds plays. On Thursday evening I didn't see a single clever one from us. This is how we lost to Maryland at home X years ago. Clearly it will happen again today and he's an inferior coach.

Don’t know if any of you remember a couple years ago when Illinois played horrific against Cincinnati. I had posted how I took my kids to the T-Mobile Center because we now live in Kansas.

Some may remember that my son out shot our team that night by going in the court and beating some Cincinnati fan in a 3 point contest.

Well he sent me this a few minutes ago…

First game ever at State Farm!!!

Love it!! If you see two loud die hard fans from Kansas….. tell them hi!!

Not everything from Kansas is crappy!!

There could be nothing to this, but I always got the impression Brad makes mental notes of certain players, teams & schemes that expose us, and uses that to address specific portal needs. If there’s any validity to that, best believe Jalen Pickett, the 21/22’ Houston team, and Donta Scott are on this fictional Mount Rushmore. Scott has been a nightmare matchup for us. But Brad has the horses & this Maryland team is !!!, so the beloved cover today

Coleman has had a lot of heartbreaking losses to Maryland in his career. I think he keeps everyone laser focused for this one and we see an output on pace with the Northwestern game. That’s my hope at least.
