Hawkins needs to dramatically simplify his game by being a big athletic presence near the basket on both ends. Play great D, get rebounds and put backs. Not only will his game improve, but this team is in desperate need of more inside strength.

Four turnovers...and I can vividly remember every one. Passes to fans or guys in green jerseys. Better judgement, more attention, and a bit less of a hurry and none of them occur....and nobody would believe it!!

We MUST start moving better on defense.

Get in front of the guy you are guarding.

Our defense looks so poor. MSU blowing by us every time down the court.

As far as CH, he needs to drive to the basket. He has a size advantage and decent enough handles.

Good analysis

Harris looked horrible that is why he didn’t come back in.
Ty wasn’t an impact (good or bad)
RJ looked good early but is a hair slow against their guards

He has spent more time outside the arc than inside the paint the entire season... it kills our defense

Hit the boards and more movement on offense. Not as much movement as last 2 games or sharp passing by us. We can win this if we correct these 2 things.

Offense “stalling” to me seems to be, for the most part, perplexing lineups. Sencire Harris and Ty Rodgers can’t be on the floor at the same time. Coleman can’t be the guy taking the dribble hand-off and going downhill; his decision-making is too awful. Need 3 of 4 of TSJ, Mayer, Epps and Dainja on the floor at almost all times to get the ball moving toward the basket. I’d even argue RJ has done a pretty good job at least moving around.

entertaining game so far.......

rocket mort-gag getting way to many layups...........we have yet to adjust
TSJ was enfuego for first 12-13 minutes .....................mort-gag adjusted
MM is a blocking artist....................
Dain with some good moves......Dain with some not so good moves..............
without a doubt a very underwhelming first half by cohawk.............when he is good , he is very good....when he is bad , well you know what follows
Harris with a lot of pine time................
RJ with a good basket but getting driven on by hoggy-ard.....
walker needs to be put down.....don't let him get hot as he did last year.....................
I think we only had 4 fouls for the half.....will benefit later on in this tense game................
Epps with a much needed 3 pter when we were stagnant on O...........................

Tighten up the D and get others involved on offense and we should be okay......................

Defense: pack it in, defend the paint like your life depends on it, give up the 3 pt line if needed

Offense: spread isn't working tonight and we look lost when it doesn't work. Need to get Dain touches in the paint somehow, msu can't stop him there.

Hawkins has become like Curbelo for me. He’s talented and can have some great stretches and even games, but watching him can too often be so frustrating and infuriating.

Agree. But when he could easily go up and dink in a 6 ft. jump hook...which he should make about 80% of the time...he passes it up and throws it back out. Gotta shoot those. I would rather he shoot some kind of soft shot EVERY time he gets within 6 ft. of the rim than EVER try to slap a rebound back in (grab the sucker). No team is concerned with his scoring in the paint...and they should be as he can score 10+ there every game if he had a method of scoring.

Agree. Except his game can easily be adjusted to the positive if he was not in such a rush and had a way to score at the rim.

We basically have eight guys available at this point and Mayer got in foul trouble. Who do you bring in if you’re sitting Hawkins and Rodgers isn’t getting it done?
