Hey all. Always a hopefull fan for my Illini. My wish for groce and team today.
Defense. Don't chase. We are simply not fast enough to chase every pass. Trap when opportunity arises. But our players simply wear themselves chasing on d, and then are little stagnant on offense
On offense. Pass, pass, pass, Wear other team out. I would rather see five passes and still have ball end up at top of key. Than pg just dribble for 10 seconds than drive.
High pick. Not every play please. Motion for Malcolm and lands. Make d chase them.
Finally. We are not best shooting team. If one player has hot hand. Leave him in!!! Go Illini

^ Bold prediction, really. Reggie Lynch and Konate are some of the best defensive 5s in the conference, especially Lynch
Was really hoping to see the flyin illini unis today. I really hope they do fix their jerseys. Get rid of the zig zag design on the sides. The greys actually have a design on the side in a different shade of grey that I think would look a lot cleaner. Put that design in blue on the white and orange unis and have it in orange on the blue unis.

This is easily my favorite lineup on the court. It was disappointing how few minutes this group got together last game. Hope that changes this game.
I actually think this game is one where we should be trying to get Finke some minutes at the 5. It'll be a theme for my comments, but I really respect the shot blocking abilities of Reggie Lynch, and pulling him out of the paint is a good idea, imo.
