Is it just me, or is anyone else really disappointed in Malcolm's ability to recognize situations and not try to do too much when his team is rolling offensively. Outside of the wide open 3 there hasn't been a single shot here should have taken in the last sequence, yet he took about 4 or 5 trying to play hero ball. Killed all our momentum

He's pressing but can you blame him? Who else is going to take this game over if not Hill?

There's the patented Illinois basketball defense under Groce. Need a stop and let a guy dribble through 4 defenders for a wide open layup.

Typical finish to the game. Now we get to watch our season fall into a burning free fall. Officially done with this season when it comes to watching games. I've watched almost every game the last 10-12 years and have never been more "over it."

Hope they turn it around, but I'm done with it for now!

I can't bring myself to pin anything on Malcolm, he has put in so much trying to get us somewhere, we've let him down more than he has let us down.

This. Plus he's doing what is taught by our coach. he's constantly told to create when thats really ot his skillset

Something tells me Whitman already has strategy to deal with this situation. I don't think we have a talent issue as much as we have a coaching and training issue. Part of me wants a change now to give us time to deal with the fall out sooner. I say this as one of the last holdouts of a full coaching change.

No One Who Can Score + No One Who Can Rebound = No Job For Groce.

Sad cause he's seems like a very likable person, has a tremendous group of recruits coming in and I just can't see how he's gonna make it to see it through.

I hate being basement dweller in both football and basketball. Basketball is supposed to be our refuge. How depressing this all is.

At least Mark Smith saw a sold out crowd and plenty of playing time if he wants it

Lands, Lucas and Hill are 6 for 31. They are 1 for 19 threes other than Nichols. How is that even possible

Yeah - no at large bid right now. Loss in front of a sellout crowd. I would have a press conference tomorrow.

You can't fire him now. Nobody is available til the end of the season anyway. If you fire him now your recruiting class asks out of their LOI's way before you ever have a replacement hired. You have to wait til the end of the season, make a quick hire, and hopefully salvage the class.

Fortunately for us, Whitman understands this
