Their poor offense is now affecting their defensive play. I think I speak for all of us but we are just tired of this disaster.

It's too bad that Tracy has been in this conference-long slump because he was the reason we did well enough in conference play. Losing a scoring threat like that has pretty much doomed this offense because if you play Hill and Morgan tight, we have no other threats right now.

You think there isn't very little talent. We have 1 player who should be starting on a mediocre big ten caliber team (Malcolm) and maybe Morgan. We have players that get a large amount of minutes that shouldn't be.

With the exception of maybe Tate and Thorne, every single player on the team was recruited by and had offers from other big ten teams out of highschool... we have talent, we lack coaching

I think the Simeon pipeline might close for a while. DJW not even getting time to prove himself, really disappointed, one of the guys I wanted to see do well.

Regardless of whether this particular Illini team and this particular Illini coach should win today........

As a matter of principle, when MINN comes to Champaign in the middle of the Big Ten season riding a 5-game losing streak, Illinois should be up 15 points at half and should win going away. Tradition. History. Pride. Legacy.

It appears to me we've recruited the wrong players over the past 4 years (Vic Law, Glynn Watson, Tyler Ulis anyone?). And then we've taken those Groce-recruited players and made them heavier and slower, while negatively impacting their athleticism and offensive games in the weight room.

As I type, I just watched Kipper hold the ball on the wing for 12-15 seconds --- pick up his dribble --- and then have no one to pass to, as the other 4 players were motionless in their spots on the floor.

We have a coach who is wasting talent, not a coach stuck with guys who are untalented. Leron Black doesn't even seem to know where he should be offensively in this system, Finke is incredibly inconsistently utilized, our bigs have not been taught to screen effectively, JCL is an incredibly talented shooter and we don't get him good looks, etc.

I'm not going to pretend Tate, Abrams, Thorne have been good, and we don't even know about DJW or AJ because they've never actually been let loose (they play super tight when they do get minutes because they don't get minutes). But there is talent on the roster. We just haven't schemed in a way that makes any of it successful.

Very little talent? Not true... Less talent than expected Yes. Low basketball IQ + a coach that has no idea how to coach his team is a horrible combo

Who on this team outside of Hill would start on a top 25 team? There is very little talent on this team, and it is poorly coached

DJW must have kicked coach's dog, called his wife fat, something.

Good thing Mav sunk that... TJL should have taken that shot.

JCL is probably the weakest defender on the team, so when not hitting shots he is no better than Tate. Have said it numerous times that we needed to develop a line up with Hill, DJW, and Kipper. Never happened so we keep having a defensive liability that we can't solve with the players we currently play.
