No cohesiveness. No chemistry. No playing for the guy next to you. No playing for the name on the front of the jersey. Welcome to transfer portal college basketball.

You can’t create a locker room issue by calling them out once afternpiss poor game. If that was the case, this team never had a chance to be good. That’s softer than charmin and soft doesn’t win a championship. This team lacks leadership. Leaders hold themselves and their teammates accountable. Has anyone on our team even hinted at it?
10 ply super soft.

he isn't taking terrible shots,, over dribbling, over passing, and not guarding any one. i dont know what the offense is supposed to be , but this team looks like they don't give a hoot.
i agree, underwood is only partially to blame. it is up to the players to execute the game plan he installs and to play with fundamentals. He can't go out on the court and play for them

Mayer is good but soft based on his recent interview and the real know what I mean. There’s some internal issues and it’s based on character, not judging anyone’s in particular, but there are differences and Underwood is an in your face coach. I don’t think that’s resonating well with some of these guys
You know he's one of the main catalysts...none of these guys are touching the nba so I don't understand their attitude of being better than the system.

There are too many weapons on this team to look like this so often. This is on Underwood. He needs to take control of this team. This team looks like it wants to be anywhere tonight, but playing basketball. That's on coach. They are not running an offense. What was the game plan, coach? The defense is awful. The coach needs to sit the ones who don't want to play. Take control and be a coach.

How do you know they don't like each other? I do not believe that. They may not be mature enough to handle adversity but that doesn't mean they don't like each other. In Vegas they were all smiling.
Winning makes things easier and ultimately envokes happiness. Losing and adversity is when true feelings come out the masks come off.

Honestly I didn’t like what Underwood did but if that really screwed up this team then these guys are soft.

This is the last year for TJ and Mayer (and likely Coleman). They should be playing like their !!! is on fire.
Exactly. Like, what exactly is gonna motivate you if a shot at generational wealth won't.

TSJ has been trying, but his shot is just beyond messed up lately. Coleman needs to be sat, for at least the rest of this game. He’s trying to do wayyy too much. Dain’s been pretty good inside. Mayer gets frustrated too easily and plays by himself the whole time. Also. Anyone heard of boxing out?! Or guarding the 3? I wonder if this is when Brad realizes that switching everything just doesn’t work sometimes. Can we just play some straight up man?

The problem is BU-coached teams run on mental toughness and heart first. With no sound fundamentals and effective offensive/defensive scheming as a foundation, the whole thing really falls apart when you lose the former.
So the big ten title teams has no sound fundamentals...got it

What in the heck happened in New York after the Texas game? From that point, this is not a basketball team. Just a bunch of guys.

Were these guys more important to the locker room/ culture/ player buy in than realized?

No. Brad needs everyday guys. What that really means is Brad needs humble kids who respond to getting yelled at by trying harder and pushing themselves, and then buying in after the fact that it made both them and the team better. The problem is, this won’t work with one and done prima donnas, won’t work with NIL transfer mercenaries (TSJ/Mayer), etc.
