We saw this at both PSU games, Missouri, NU1, and a couple others. Even some of our big wins were from being down by +10. We come out flat and without purpose, not sure BU fixes this.

We have played horrible at home, this year. That says a lot about the mind set of this team. It’s all the new blood in the program. Winning at home just doesn’t matter as much as it did to previous teams like ayo led squad or Trent and Kofi led squads.

Exactly. The ONLY question here is are we 18 points worse than Northwestern when we play with effort? Who could possibly say yes?!

They’re 5/21 from inside the arc. We need to defend the 3 point line and need a run to make this a game. It could happen but if we lose this game all the optimism will go away.
I pulled this game up to bet on it, thinking the Illini would be home underdogs, which is always a good bet. Turns out we were 7 point favorites. I though that was crazy, but couldn’t bring myself to bet against us. NW is a very good team, AND they play their tails off. We are neither of those things.

As bad as we are playing this how refs fix the outcome of game. No holonson has 2 to 3 moving s cree s a possession and he moves his foot just as defender goes by. That creates space and delays recovery. We get it inside and they push and grab so we are left with 3s ...
Point guard and a jump shooter. Really lacking both of those things.
They've gotten many of those misses back
The refs have nothing to do with us being down 18. That's on us for playing like a bunch of idiots and Northwestern for taking advantage of it.
