Big Ten rule. Note how other conferences with fans and such are rather lax compared to a program like Illinois. Look how many games Mizzou and SLU have missed.

We need to just run set plays everyone down the floor like back in the Self days- letting players decide what to do isn’t working

I don’t think Ohio state is a team you can make a huge prolific run against like NU. I don’t want to say never, or that we won’t adjust and make it close but not feeling a W at the end of the day

Hate to say it, but those ESPN win probability numbers are usually damn good. NU never got above like a 60% chance to beat us. OSU is at 90%.

I’ll never give up, though! If we keep up defensive intensity and manage to get hot shooting, we’ll definitely have a shot. Here’s to hoping!

Agreed. The weave has never worked well for this team. It runs the clock down and we inevitably take a rushed or forced shot.

Liddell was 3-18 from 3 prior to this game.

3-4 in the first half...and they shoot 7-11 as a team. Taking Kofi away from the basket, making shots, getting rebounds. Pretty easy game for them.

Ohio State played a flawless half, except for a couple chippys they missed at the rim and a few turnovers at the end. Beating us on the boards 20-11, outshooting us from 3 (7-11) vs (3-10).

I don't think we are playing terrible, but they played great. Didn't let Ayo get loose in transition, knocked down almost all their open shots. They'll cool off in the 2nd half but 15 pts against them is probably game over given how good their defense is

Same thing with him in! Still getting beat down by 15 at the half. Not enough touches for Kofi! He's 2-2 from the field and isn't getting the ball. No attacking the rim and people just standing around watching Curbelo dribble around the paint instead of moving to get open. Too much standing and watching, and no effort. It's ridiculous!

We are middle of the pack in BIG. Two pro players and we seldom get offensive contributions from anyone not named Kofi and Ayo. The team needs players who can score and a few more lanky players like a Liddell. Losing this game would be 2 losses in BIG at home. Take a look at our schedule on the road... I see many more losses.

At some point BU needs to consider implementing the ball pressure defense he brought here. Not 40 minutes, maybe not 5 minutes, but to sit and watch the same game unfold has to be met with adjustments.

other teams seem to play harder from the start, yes, shooting lights out is tough to deal with, but we’ve all seen this game script enough. Two teams in a row without key guards and we don’t take advantage like a Bill Belichek team would do.
