Moretti has looked quite good today in my opinion. Sencire on the other hand has struggled. This is a hot take, but If Moretti can play even decent D this year, I think he's going to get some tick. He's done a great job of being a floor general and getting great ball movement and entries when he has been on the court. He keeps playing like this he will earn some minutes

Completely agree that our fears of “too much depth” seem unfounded. However, I’m not sure Harmon is the backup PG… and if his minutes aren’t at the one, you need to add a backup there. Also wouldn’t pull Guerrier out just yet.

This game was never in doubt...at least not yet. A lot of credit to the rebounding advantage. To be picky, too many balls stolen. Got to hold on to the ball. If this persists, it will be an issue later. However, I know, they are playing 12 players and not keeping best players in, so, I will wait to see how it goes against the Jayhawks.

In my totally uninformed opinion this sort of game does set up a more interesting background story for the Kansas scrimmage - not a true game in its own right - but you have to expect those the Illini and Jayhawks to put good effort into the scrimmage just out of pride. It could reveal much more even though it is but a fundraiser in name.
