I need to see clear evidence of adjustments out of the half.

It's not too hard to see how the end of our season the film was out and teams adjusted. Maybe it's just "make shots", but we should be absolutely sh$t whipping this team in the paint.

Make shots and hope they miss more contested long 2s feels like the only real adjustments

This game is not instilling any confidence that anything has changed since the 1st half of the UCLA game. I think Kylan has been pretty meh since his return and if we're being honest the team is worse with him in the lineup.

That is so optimistic with this level of play. We are barely taking care of business against Penn. We get beat on Sat if we play the same.

I've watched this Illini team all year in addition to a considerable amount of college basketball from east coast to west coast. This Illinois team is definitely not athletic enough to compete with most teams in the NCAA. Success for them is going to come just like this first half versus Penn. Second chance points, offensive rebounds and defense. IF they win this they MUST shoot better and get the defense to another level. I fear VCU and anyone like them!

Not sure this team is gonna make it that far. It’s not that Penn or VCU are good, but Illinois tends to beat themselves. I’m not convinced they’ll beat Penn if they punch them in the mouth.

We scored 1.236 points per possession, which is very good.

I feel like the casual perspectives regarding our offense don’t understand the essence of offensive rebounding. Yes we missed a lot of shots, but we got them back. Eventually it will lead to a good offensive output (and it did).
