Defense strategy good against Purdue's bigs inside, but leaves their players wide open at arc. We're gonna pay for that.

Weak call on tate, Hill was all over him, coulda been called for handcheck earlier

Swanigan is killin it from 3. Can't really game plan for that. Got to hope that stops. GOt to stay at home down low.

Tate always makes me nervous when he brings the ball up the court.

I still don't get this hands on defensive fouls. They have their hands all over us and no foul called, we sneeze and it's a foul.

I knew Tate was going to get for that soon. He pushes off when he dribbles, and also when he's trying to get free for a pass. Unbelievable

The defensive strategy is EXACTLY what we have to do. It's a gamble that is paying off right now. And honestly, Purdue has hit some extremely tough shots already. That call on Tate was horrible. My other main take away so far is how well DJ played in the limited minutes he was given.

Before the season started I think we all knew purdue was going to be immune to handcheck calls once B1G play started

Purdue hill has hands all over Lewis when he came up court. What the hell is up with the bb officiating?

Because all refs learn in Officiating Schools that they are to never give the University of Illinois any home cooking, ever, for any reason.

What is with this ticky-tack against the ILLINI and the Boiler falls all over Morgan knocking him to the floor and a no-call. I would have had a technical there, things would have changed from there on out !!

I don't think ive seen a clean screen by either team in any game all year. Either call them all and foul everyone out, or don't call them at all and let the boys play. The inconsistencies in the way screens are officiated is infuriating

#47
Not watching, but even Hester and Barnhart are joking about the refs.

#48
Ticky tack, yes. Inconsistent, yes. One sided? Not really. Nunn got away with an obvious foul that created an air ball right after his first (Ticky tack) foul. Mav has set at least four moving screens. These refs are bad, and all the fouls are annoying --- but we're not getting screwed.

They are staying somewhat consistent with the calls at least....
