Lesson. Don't go against the Vegas experts.

Also, don't go against the experts who said we'd be lucky to win 4 games and that Lovie was on the hot seat.

Wow!!!!! We hand the ball off to a running back, and we get a first down!

... Then the ball goes back to Bushs hands and he turns it over.

" no it's easy to be negative after a game like this, however it's very hard to see any improvement or any extra effort on behalf of any of the current players. Never was a fan of lovey and certainly am not now, maybe a little early to call for his head but it's getting there!

Things I want to see for the rest of the season:

-Bench Bush in favor of Rivers
-Run with RBs on 90% or more of first downs
-Run with RBs on 90% or more of 2nd and manageable
-Run with RBs on 90% or more of 3rd and short
-Have a meeting with Dorsey. Tell him you forgive him, love him, and believe in him. Then throw to him more once he gets his confidence back. That guy is the most talented player left on this team, in my opinion.
-Both Epstein and Corbin should have 10+ carries each game. I would prefer 15+ each.
-PLEASE do not give the slot WR 20 yards of cushion like we saw with Moore too often today.

Do all of those things and there are a couple of competitive games left on the schedule.

Lovies defensive handbook: Fold don’t bend

Step 1. Same vanilla base every play
Step 2. Do not blitz
Step 3. Give receivers 6 yard cusion
Step 4. Pray for boredom to set in on QB, get pick
Step 5. Profit

The thing with “Lovie’s Defense” is it only works with top tier disruptive linemen, especially at the DT position. This worked for the Bears in the 2000’s because they had that, and more.
There’s a library of videos online that show how to easily exploit the “tampa” two, but this is the Defense Lovie loves.
Not evolving his defensive foundation with the Bears eventually was what cost him his job. I thought he might have learned his lesson by now.
