Game Thread: Illinois vs Purdue

[illini80]

KH was not good today

[Illini-Rule]

I say we play our backup QB the rest of the season. You might as well get him some experience for next year.

[IlliniMilkMan]

It's really hard to describe how bad this loss is. It was so poor every aspect. Wow.

[orange100]

hahaha that INT is just chefs kiss. I am genuinely perplexed. was the Hauck thing that big of a distraction? Something has just totally exploded this whole program today.

[Mr. Roberts]

@ Maryland is probably the only W left on this schedule.

MSU will be mad af next week.

Basketball season.

Maryland is playing Nebraska tough. We are looking at 2-10.

Funny, Maryland is probably saying the same thing about us.

Fold up the program and give the NIL to bball program and other sports. Boycott. Hang heads. Find a new college team to watch

[Zweebs]

Will literally need to buy a new defense next year. Don't know if we have that in us.

[aaeismacgychel]

So touchdown onside kick touchdown. Easy peasy

[2X2L]

Isn't it great being an Illinois football fan since 1963?

[BrimfieldBomber]

2 great years to build off of.

What the F happened.

Reminds me 2 years after 2005 Final four.

[Neidermeyer]

Good job #0

[Mr. Roberts]

Nice punt block push there.

[Chiieeff]

The defense was not the problem today. Not great, but they are not the reason for this loss

[skyIdub]

So, I see players laughing and dancing directly behind Brett?

Like I said. Unserious.

[aaeismacgychel]

What is Mac Resetich doing? You have to effing field and return that. I’m sorry at this point hold open tryouts to get a punt returner. He can’t do it

It was the run forward to have it go over his head that sent my entire section...

Basketball doesn't need the money. It's already pouring in.

So many people to blame with this including the head coach. They are going to need to up the budget for next year.

How can you up the budget with a season like this?

19 wins in two years only got us 14th in the conference.

I can’t help but think our 2-10 2006 squad would push this year’s team around easily, lol.

We need to do the same thing as Texas Tech. Spend some serious money and rebuild this program.

Not just the budget, but making wise purchases.

[Curbelo Fanboy]

Who's the 3rd win?

Good point. I was being generous.

Thank you! I'm glad some else said it. The problem is, the basketball program is pretty much getting the money now. The football program is drowning now.

What coach resigns this week?
