Game Thread: Illinois vs Purdue

Basketball doesn't need the money. It's already pouring in.

So many people to blame with this including the head coach. They are going to need to up the budget for next year.

Head coach has to take a ton of the blame. Terrible coaching hire is on him. But I'm more frustrated with how fundamentally poor this team has been. That's coaching.

What is Mac Resetich doing? You have to effing field and return that. I’m sorry at this point hold open tryouts to get a punt returner. He can’t do it

Resetich is good at running the ball once he gets his hands on it but his decision making on the return itself is terrible. Its time to put someone back there to just call fair catches and catch the damn punt.

lol I said last year we’d find out how serious Illinois is about the football program in the offseason after watching the worst P5 program in history win a NC.

They bought a giant video board.

What makes anyone think it will be different next year?

Passing up that field goal and the miss really screwed us. Along with several other coaching decisions.

I see it with my own eyes, but I still can’t believe we are this bad…..

[illini80]

Pad those stats so it doesn’t look so bad.

Hey, we're still in it!

[aaeismacgychel]

Well not dead yet. Need the onside kick

[TentakilRex]

TD Eaglecrest Raptors

Ty only catches TDs lol

[JKR]

Isn't it great being an Illinois football fan since 1963?

63 was a good season with a Rose Bowl win.

[BWBW]

Illinois still has life. What a comment.

We're about to lose our 7th game out of 8 against Purdue at Memorial Stadium. Just...HOW??

[Fly Illini Fly!]

But how was Purdue able to get the onside kick two years ago?
