Game Thread: Illinois vs Purdue
The offense that put up more points on OSU than almost anyone has in the last couple years can't get a first down against Purdue.

Well guys we are looking into the full blown abyss here
We have exponentially less talent than last year.
And undoubtably the worst team left on the schedule. So we got that going for us.
Illinois has a history of doing this unfortunately.

Houser is overthrowing everything today. Very out of character
Houser needs to calm down. That throw to Clement was unnecessarily high and hard. A decent throw and he gets another 5-10 yards.
Yes but a good throw and he had some running room.
Bad day for having an off throwing day. He had not been good this half
Even his completion is bad. Hit the receiver in stride and he gets another 10-15 yards
If it weren't for bailout penalties by Purdue, today's game by the Illini would be ugly enough to make a freight train take a dirt road. Yet, I remain optimistic that our offense will figure things out and keep us in this game. We need Houser to settle down, make better reads, and stop overthrowing his receivers. I think he will.
The coaches did NOT have our team ready. Our Defense and our Offense are both anemic. Coach, this is not acceptable. You held info about who would be doing play calling just to give this performance, and nothing has changed with scheming? This is lackluster. We wouldn't beat many teams today. Don't try telling me that Purdue has better recruits than we do. Effort + coaching = big fail today on HOMECOMING!!!!!!!! WTH
If nothing else this needs to be the last possession of the half. Let’s double dip in some fashion.
At least they see immediate playing time
