Game Thread: Illinois vs Purdue

[Altuve27]

The lack of quickness and athleticism is depressing.

[Pikeillinifan]

Glad we punted on fourth down.

We go for it at awful times, then punt when we have no chance of getting a stop.

[Rap47]

Bailey is the only guy that tackles the legs. That has nothing to do with NIL.

[JJE]

What if Aaron Henry was the glue that held this program together.

[ChiTown]

How can you even give a B1G quarterback that much time to complete a pass.

[Illini-Rule]

I know Tank is a good S & C coach, but damn we seem weak to everyone else. To go along with being slow.

[Geno33]

This is hands down the worst D in the Big Ten

[illinoistradition]

3rd and long and we rush 3.

Have to be the worst P4 team in the country on third and long last 3 years.

I’m okay with rushing 3 if you force the short throw to get a minimal game. Which they did. Until they couldn’t tackle the guy and he got a first down. Pathetic.

[LouHenson]

Our defense is terrible no matter whoever is coaching it. Yuck

[TheChief4Life]

Okay, time for unnecessary cuteness before Lunney instead of just getting yards and a score.

[illini80]

Finally a Saturday when I can watch a game live and this is what we get?!! Sure feels like lllini games of old.

[Illinois_2_AZ]

Finally! A third down stop

[Juju]

At least we held em to a field goal, but holy hell is this awful.

[CDRUSN]

The defensive backfield was supposed to be our strength. What is with giving all their receivers a five yard cushion on most pass plays? Asking for a friend.

[spotter]

Upgraded to dislike everything.

The hate is flowing again. Nearing Palpatine levels.

[RockfordIllini]

Still in it, somehow.

Please wake up offense

[FloridaMan]

Purdue trying to give us this game. Yes, I said Purdue. !!!!ing pathetic.

[TheFlyingIllini1317]

Big play we get the call in late, Bailey is guarding the slot, sees the rb wide open and caught in two minds and gets beat. Not his fault this staff is letting him down. 3rd and 9 and beat by a dump off the to rb, pathetic

[IlliniWu]

That was a good stop there to keep them out of the endzone. Have to score now though.

[RockfordIllini]

Maybe go tempo and try and get a rhythm?

I think we can throw the ball control strategy out the window now.

[thehass]

I know Tank is a good S & C coach, but damn we seem weak to everyone else. To go along with being slow.

Other than those things we look good coming out of the tunnel

[aaeismacgychel]

Maybe we should just let Purdue start on our 15yd line each drive. Save us time on the clock and it seems to be the only way we can stop them

[Marshall_Lucky]

I'm not typically one for doomerism, but it's creeping in

[BWBW]

I know Tank is a good S & C coach, but damn we seem weak to everyone else. To go along with being slow.

I've wondered if Tank is as good as claimed.
